What the heck is this blog about, anyways?
Ideas. Good ideas, bad ideas, funny ideas, practical ideas, you name it.
Since the author is a scientist, a romantic (classical sense), and an optimist, the ideas tend to lean towards the “making the world a better place” angle.
The goal is to keep a record of (and perhaps start a few conversations about) my ideas about life, the universe and everything.
Who writes this blog?
I, Zachary Pierce, will these posts into existence.
Who in the world would even bother putting pen to paper on some of these topics?
I happen to enjoy over-thinking things, even trivial things, and writing helps me clarify my thoughts. Also, it reduces the amount of time I spend boring my friends with these crazy ideas.
Who does he think he is, writing about this stuff when he is only a lowly graduate student?
I won’t claim to be an expert on anything other than procrastination. If you are well-versed in something I talk about, by all means, drop a comment about just how wrong I am. I don’t intend on censoring critical comments, especially if they help me learn something.
